Writing W2 Distance Learning

Kia Ora Blogger's, this blog will be about my writing task for this week. The task was to create a DLO or Digital Learning Object about three thing that are important to think about while editing a piece of text and a story.  I our DLO we had to include a original paragraph from our report and an edited one. Three things I would think about are these...

Reading W2 Distance Learning

Hi guys, this blog will be about my reading task for this week. The task was to make a infographic about why it's important check your facts and sources before posting or publish. Before we made the infographic we went on something made by BBC called "iReporter".  Then we made something called a reading response, this reading response was a way to organise our new learning from the texts and videos we looked at. Here are the links.

Thanks for coming to my blog and have you done an Infographic before?

Writing Week 1 of Distance Learning

Hi guys, this blog will be about my writing task for this week. The task was to get a paragraph from our report and fix it up by using a dictionary or a thesaurus. Here are my paragraph's.

Original
Brendon Mccullum was born on 27th of September 1981 in otago. In Brendons early life he went to Kings high school and played in the Kings High School First lV for Rugby. Brendon started becoming really good at rugby and the famous Dan Carter said that he spent a lot of time on the bench because Brendon had such good hand eye coordination. Brendons Dad Suart played for otago and his brother Nathan played for NZ with the ODI and the T20 Teams.

Re-Worded.

On the 27th of September 1981 in Dunedin, Otago, Brendon Mccullum was born to a sporting family, the Mcullum’s. Brendon's love for sport didn’t start with cricket as he played in the 1st XV for King’s High School. Brendon was becoming increasingly competent with his skills that Dan Carter said he had to spend a lot of time on the bench because of Brendon. Stuart, Brendons Father played for the otago cricket team and Nathan, his brother played for NZ with the ODI and T20 Teams.

Thanks for coming to my blog and who do you look up to in your country?

Reading Week 1 of Distance Learning

Hi guys, I hope everyone is coping well in the lockdown, Any way this blog is about my reading task for this week. The task was to read two texts and make connections, new learning and use prior knowledge to put into boxes and then to explain what you have to your teacher. The two texts I read were Deadly Flu of 1918 and the Treaty of waitangi. Here are my connections.

A New Learning was that how much New Zealand has changed during a couple of hundred years.
A Connection was that my ancestor's came t New Zealand with nothing but with the Treaty the were welcomed and helped.
And a piece of prior knowledge I had was that the flu was during the World War and that it had a massive death toll.

Thank you for coming and if you are at school how is it running with the lockdown?
