Writing Week 3

Kia Ora bloggers, this blog will be about my persuasive writing for week 3. The task was to come up with some rhetorical questions and some hard hitting facts about one of the top four sustainable development goals. The goal I chose was No Poverty. Here is my task.

Enrolment in primary education in developing countries has reached 91 per cent but 57 million children remain out of school

103 million youth worldwide lack basic literacy skills, and more than 60 per cent of them are women

One in four of the world’s children suffer stunted growth. In developing countries the proportion can rise to one in three.

17,000 fewer children die each day than in 1990, but more than six million children still die before their fifth birthday each year

How would you feel if your child was going to school hungry?

How would you feel if you suddenly became homeless and then no one cared for you?

How would you feel if your home town was taken over and you had to leave to another country and no one cared for you?

Thanks for coming to my blog and what are you going to do to stop poverty?
